The day on the island includes several activity stations hosted by PBS Kids characters, along with story telling and exploring! Children can make a sea creature, plant a flower, create a music maker, participate in the parachute game, and talk to their favorite characters. Each character will have their own educational activity station for children to engage in, and each family will receive a book upon departure from the island! Returning to Family Fun Day this year will be Stage Notes. Stage Notes is a local theater company comprised of students in grades 7-12. Their purpose is to help students see their passion for musical theater and make a difference in the community. Stage Notes will perform throughout the day on the island. Food will be available at the castles concession stand or families may bring a picnic lunch. Merchandise will be available for purchase and parents are encouraged to bring sunscreen and a camera. Don't forget to wear good walking shoes, bring a raincoat and umbrella incase of inclement weather, bring your smiles and have a great time.
