The 1000 Islands Campground is privately owned campground which focuses on a community spirit. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible experience much like our sister campground the Finger Lakes Campground.

The Glidden & Gilbert family operates this family-oriented campground.  Among our amenities is playground equipment supplemented with a large wooden boat (Missbehavin'), Kidd's Kastle, 4x4 truck, and a wooden Farmall tractor. Another wagon provides occasional hayrides around the campground. Our sites have their own picnic tables and many campers enjoy campfires in their fire rings.

Many campers join us in the many festivals that are offered by Alexandria Bay, Clayton, and Cape Vincent. Events such as Pirate Week festivities in Alexandria Bay in August, weekly concerts in Clayton and Cape Vincent, multiple craft fairs, fireworks in Clayton and Alexandria Bay, multiple fishing tournaments, and so many more activities. Most Fri. nights from the week after Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend there is an antique car cruise-in at the ice cream store directly in front of the campground.

Please check out our Events page for specific details on events.
